HOT-DIP GALVANIZING PRESERVES

... in a number of different ways.

Hot-dip galvanizing protects steel from corrosion far longer than other corrosion protection techniques do.

Using hot-dip galvanizing is ecologically more feasible than using other coatings.

Moreover, hot-dip galvanizing, as in the case of zinc in general, has a lasting effect and protects the environment. Zinc is a natural element.

In addition to this, zinc, as in the case of hot-galvanized steel, can be recycled without any problems. Zinc manufacturers use modern plant engineering based on cyclical flows.

Up to 95 per cent can be recycled. A single-variety separation via the process of reduction is possible.

And to top it all: recycled zinc can be completely re-utilized without any loss of quality.

Or to put it differently: zinc that today is found in stair-railings, traffic lights, or watering pots can be recycled and thus the zinc can be employed again to protect steel from rust, in other places and perhaps for decades.

CURRENT INFORMATION
ZINKNEWS 05/2007
Hot-dip galvanizing is the best way of protecting steel from corrosion. It goes a long way towards providing enduring protection for bridges, railings, safety fences, and overhead gantry signs as well as for balconies and staircases, to name but a few examples.
